Plant Support Engineer at Colorcon

Camara Owens, MBA, has a diverse work experience. Camara began their career at Colorcon® in 2019, where they worked as an Engineering Intern until January 2021. In this role, Camara performed engineering work related to Manufacturing plants, site Facilities, and Capital Projects. Camara interacted with Process Owners, Shift Leads, and Operations staff, and took the lead in completing projects. Camara also assisted site and Global Engineers on large-scale projects.

Prior to Colorcon®, Camara worked at the Greater Philadelphia YMCA as a Head Lifeguard from February 2016 until January 2021.

In 2018, they had a short-term role at AFCO Racing as an Engineering Shadowing intern for one month in July.

Camara Owens, MBA started their education by obtaining a High School Diploma from Quakertown Community High School in 2015. Camara then went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University-Penn State Berks, completing it in 2020.

In 2022, Camara continued their academic journey by enrolling in Purdue University to pursue a Master's degree in Business Administration. Camara is expected to complete this degree in 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Camara has obtained several certifications. Camara received a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification training from Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center (DVIRC) in June 2022. Camara also obtained an OSHA 10-Hour certification from Northampton Community College in March 2022. Prior to this, in November 2021, they completed Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification training from Colorcon™.

Camara further expanded their professional qualifications by obtaining a Maintenance Master Certification from Manufacturers Resource Center (MRC) in June 2023. Camara is also a member of The National Honor Society of Leadership and Success, which they joined in January 2023.

Lastly, Camara Owens holds additional certifications in American Red Cross programs. Camara has an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate as well as certifications in Standard First Aid, CPR, Oxygen, and AED. The specific dates of obtaining these certifications are not available.
