John Newton

John Newton serves as the Head of Color Technology at Coloro since April 2018, contributing to a groundbreaking color system that enhances color accuracy in the textile and fashion industries. Prior to this, John held roles including Textile Consultant at Taylor and Lodge and Technical, Quality and Compliance Manager at Cath Kidston. With extensive experience at Bagir Group as Raw Material Sourcing & Technical Director, John oversaw fabric technical and compliance processes for markets in the UK, Europe, and the USA. John also worked at Burberry as a Senior Textile Engineer, managing a diverse range of fabric categories and collaborating with design and sourcing teams. Earlier in career, John served as Fabric Sourcing & Technical Director at Bagir Group and as Head of Production at Dormeuil S.A.S, after completing training in the UK and Japan. John holds a Chartered Textile Technologist qualification from the Textile Institute in Manchester and has foundational education from Bradford Textile College.
