Ngiste Abebe

Ngiste Abebe has extensive work experience in the public policy and cannabis industry. Ngiste currently holds the position of Vice President of Public Policy at Columbia Care, where they previously served as the Director of Public Policy. Ngiste is also a Board Member at Lantern. In addition, they are the Vice Chair of the Cannabis Public Health Advisory Council at the Commonwealth of Virginia and was previously a Founding Partner at Aulenor Consulting. Ngiste has also held various leadership roles at organizations such as the NEW YORK MEDICAL CANNABIS INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION INC and the Democratic Party of Virginia. Prior to that, they worked as a Program Specialist and Communications Specialist at USAID, and as a Research Associate at Carnegie Mellon University.

Ngiste Abebe has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago. Ngiste also holds a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from the Carnegie Mellon University-Heinz School of Public Policy and Management. Additionally, they obtained a Security Clearance: Secret certification in May 2011.
