Interim And Found Director Of The School Of Visual Arts, And Tenured Associate Professor at Columbia College-Chicago

Duncan MacKenzie is a contemporary artist and educator with extensive experience in the art world. As Co-Founder of Viridian House since May 2021, MacKenzie leads a full-service agency focusing on NFT sales. A collaboration with Christian Kuras has defined the artistic practice since 2004. MacKenzie has held various academic positions at Columbia College Chicago since 2009, including Interim and Found Director of the School of Visual Arts, while also serving as Tenured Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and Chair of Art and Art History. Additionally, MacKenzie is the Co-Founder and Managing Founder of Bad at Sports, a prominent podcast that critiques contemporary art. Prior teaching experience includes a full-time instructor role at the American Academy of Art and project management at Scenic View Inc. Educational qualifications include a Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Calgary.
