Maddie Vaccaro

Maddie Vaccaro serves as an Instructional Specialist for Makerspace Facilities at Columbia College Chicago since April 2018, providing essential instructional and technical support in various materials and conducting safety authorizations. Additionally, Maddie has been an Instructor for the Design Apprenticeship Program at Arts + Public Life: Education Programs since January 2024 and has been self-employed as a freelance designer and builder since January 2017, creating custom furniture and exhibition projects. Previous experience includes roles at the Art Institute of Chicago as an Architecture and Design Intern, and at SECTOR 2337, LLC as an Exhibition Preparator. Other notable positions include Publications Co-Manager at EXPO CHICAGO, Mentor and Shop Manager at Center for Lost Arts, and Fabricator at Chicago Scenic Studios. Maddie holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and participated in an artist residency program at Ox-Bow School of Art.
