Shannon Bourne

Shannon Bourne currently serves as the Director of Library Programs and Events at the Chicago Public Library since September 2022. In addition, Shannon has held various positions at Columbia College Chicago since October 2011, including Adjunct Professor of Instruction in Business & Entrepreneurship, Director of Student Activities, Assistant Director of Student Activities, Coordinator of Student Activities, and Coordinator of ShopColumbia. Between September 2004 and September 2013, Shannon worked as a Management Consultant on a freelance basis. Previous experience includes serving as Project Manager for interdisciplinary artist Joan Giroux from September 2008 to January 2012 and Development Director for Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble from October 2009 to October 2011. Shannon holds a Master of Arts Management degree with a Visual Art Concentration from Columbia College Chicago (2007-2009) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a Painting Emphasis from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (2000-2004).
