Chris Strear M.D.

Chris Strear, MD has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the healthcare industry. Chris is currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer at Columbia Memorial Hospital. Prior to this, they held key positions at Northwest Acute Care Specialists, including Director of Patient Flow and Director of Revenue Cycle Management. At Legacy Health, they worked as an Attending Physician in Emergency Medicine and later took on the role of Director of Operations & Patient Flow. Chris also served as the Chief Medical Officer at AkēLex, where they played a significant role in the design and testing of medical content for clinical decision support and analytic software. Throughout their career, Dr. Strear has achieved notable accomplishments such as implementing collaborative processes to improve patient flow, driving operational improvements, and leading cost-saving initiatives.

Chris Strear, MD completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Chemistry from Williams College. Chris then attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Following that, they pursued a General Surgery Residency Program at the University of California, San Francisco. Later, they completed an Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Harbor-UCLA. In addition to their educational background, Dr. Strear holds a graduate certificate coursework in Constraints Management from Washington State University Global Campus. Chris is also certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is licensed to practice medicine in the states of Washington and Oregon.
