Matthew Oberhardt

Matthew Oberhardt is a seasoned data scientist and academic with significant experience in healthcare analytics. As the Lead Data Scientist for Healthcare at Qualtrics since February 2021, Matthew applies advanced data methodologies to enhance health outcomes. Concurrently, as an Adjunct Associate Research Scientist in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Matthew collaborates with clinicians on innovative approaches to track postpartum hemorrhage and severe maternal morbidity. Previously, in roles such as Program Director for Research Science at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Fellow at Insight Data Science, Matthew contributed to research and analysis focused on improving hospital quality and understanding Parkinson's disease. Matthew holds a PhD in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Virginia, where research included the metabolic modeling of pathogens. Additional academic credentials include post-doctoral research in Computational Biology at Tel Aviv University and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Virginia.
