Susan K. Feagin

Interim Executive Vice President for University Development and Alumni Relations at Columbia University

Susan K. Feagin is Interim Executive Vice President for University Development and Alumni Relations.

Most recently, she served as President of John Brown Limited, Inc., a boutique fundraising firm where she worked with a range of universities and liberal arts colleges on campaign planning and strategy, board development and fundraiser staff training.

She served as Columbia’s Executive Vice President for University Development and Alumni Relations from 2002 through 2010, overseeing a $4 billion campaign that raised over $6 billion, as well as the creation of the Columbia Alumni Association. She was Vice President for Development at the University of Michigan from 1998 to 2002. At Harvard University in the 1990’s she was the first Associate Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and then served as Director of University Development.

Susan received a BA from Columbia’s School of General Studies, where she now serves as Co-Chair of the Board of Visitors. In 2011 she received the Columbia Alumni Medal for Distinguished Service.
