Felipe Castro

Felipe CASTRO holds the PMP certification and possesses extensive experience in leadership, engineering, and supply chain management. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering & NPD at Columbus McKinnon since March 2023, Felipe focuses on transforming engineering and R&D to align with aggressive growth plans. Prior to this role, Felipe spent over 21 years at Schneider Electric, where accomplishments included leading a large engineering team, enhancing product portfolios, championing sustainability initiatives, and driving strategic purchasing projects. Earlier career experiences include positions in manufacturing systems, supplier quality, and equipment fabrication with General Electric and Ternium. Felipe earned a Master’s in Manufacturing Systems from Tecnológico de Monterrey and holds a Bachelor's in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering from the same institution, complemented by an exchange program in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
