Jesus Pascualena Aguirre

Jesus Pascualena Aguirre has extensive experience in the field of telecommunications regulation and economic analysis. Currently serving as the Head of Sector in the Department of Analysis for Electronic Communications Markets at CNMC since January 2014, Jesus specializes in market analysis, competition dynamics, and the assessment of wholesale access pricing in the electronic communications sector. Prior to this role, Jesus worked at the European Commission as a Case Handler from June 2010 to December 2013, focusing on the legal and economic compatibility of national regulatory measures with EU law. Jesus also held the position of Head of Sector in the Department of Economic Analysis and Markets at the Comisión del Mercado de las Telecomunicaciones from October 2003 to June 2010 and began the professional career as a Research Officer at NERA Economic Consulting from October 2001 to October 2003. Jesus holds a Master's degree in Industrial Economics from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and a degree in Economics with a focus on Quantitative Economics from the University of the Basque Country.
