Sandeep Playia

Sandeep Playia has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of engineering. Starting in 2002, they worked as a Stress Engineer at Caterpillar Inc. until 2005. Sandeep then joined MATCOR Metal Fabrication as a Program Manager in 2006 before moving to The Boeing Company as a Senior Stress Engineer from 2006 to 2012. In 2012, Sandeep started their own company, Sandeep Playia LLC, where they served as the Owner, Structures DER, and Senior Stress Engineer. During this time, they also worked at Greenpoint Technologies, Inc. as an FAA DER - Structures, Lead Certification Engineer, and Sr. Expert Zodiac Aerospace (Stress Analysis). From 2019 to 2020, Sandeep worked as a Compliance Expert - Structures at Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation (Global), and in 2020, they joined Comlux as the Principal Engineer - Structures (Certification and Compliance). Currently, Sandeep holds the position of Group Leader/ Technical Program Manager at Belcan since 2021.

Sandeep Playia holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Solid Mechanics from Wayne State University, which was obtained in the year 2001. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Punjab Technical University in the year 1999. Additionally, Sandeep Playia has obtained a certification as a Structures DER (Designated Engineering Representative) from the Federal Aviation Administration in the year 2013.
