Sanjay Rao

Sanjay Rao has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Sanjay is currently the VP of AI and Product Development at CommandLink since April 2023. Prior to this, Sanjay worked at Genesys from December 2018, where they started as the Director of Artificial Intelligence and Global Product Development. In this role, they oversaw a global team in designing and maintaining machine learning-based predictive routing software. Sanjay also served as the Director of Voice Solutions at Genesys from August 2014 to December 2018, where they managed departmental operations, projects, and teams, and led the successful launch of voice services in the U.S.

Before joining Genesys, Sanjay worked at Bandwidth.com as a Director from October 2011 to August 2014. In this role, they served as the Product Owner in defining requirements and analysis for API and UI interfaces on voice products. Notable achievements during this time include leading multi-site teams in customer deployment of an API and UI platform and building an open-source tools platform.

Sanjay's earlier experience includes working at Nortel from March 1997 to June 2009. Sanjay held various roles such as Senior Technology Planning Manager from July 2006 to June 2009, Technical Project Manager from December 2003 to July 2006, and Architect from March 1997 to December 2003.

Sanjay Rao holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering from Osmania University. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of New Haven. Currently, Sanjay is pursuing an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
