Erno Wienholds

Erno Wienholds is a seasoned professional in the fields of molecular biology and genetics, currently serving as a Licensing and Commercialization Professional at the Commercialization unit of UHN since March 2022. Prior experience includes roles as Chief Operating Officer at Seneb Therapeutics, focusing on cannabinoid therapeutics, and as Chief Scientific Officer and Co-Founder of Tesseraqt Optimization Inc., specializing in CRISPR genome engineering. Erno also held the position of Director of Experimental Biology at Deep Genomics, working on AI-powered RNA therapeutics for rare genetic disorders, and has an extensive research background from roles at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and Hubrecht Institute, contributing to advancements in cancer biology and developmental research. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biology from Utrecht University and an MSc in Medical Biology from the University of Amsterdam.
