James Griner

Accreditation Assessor at CALEA

James Griner, MPA, serves as the Director of Security at Palmetto Dunes Property Owners Association since January 2010, overseeing security operations for over 3,000 residential properties and 11 commercial entities with a team of 38 employees. In addition to this role, James has been an Accreditation Assessor for CALEA since 2007, conducting evaluations of law enforcement agencies nationwide to ensure compliance with accreditation standards. Previously, James worked as a Watch Commander at Garden City Police Department from August 1993 to January 2010, where strong leadership contributed to achieving operational excellence and accreditation. James holds a Master of Public Administration from Columbus State University, along with degrees in Criminal Justice from Armstrong State University and specialized training in law enforcement management.
