Shanon Gillette, Ph.D., serves as an Assistant Professor and Program Director of the M.S. in Public Safety Administration at Lewis University since March 2016 and has also held the position of Adjunct Instructor for the same program. In addition, Shanon Gillette has been a Delegate to the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies since May 2023 and previously served as Vice President At-Large for Region 3 at the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police from April 2021 to April 2023. A retired Chief of Police, Shanon Gillette's law enforcement career with the Village of Downers Grove, Illinois, spanned from September 1993 to January 2023, during which leadership positions included Deputy Chief, Police Lieutenant, Police Sergeant, and Police Officer. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from Johnson University, a Graduate Certificate in Criminal Justice Studies from the University of Virginia, and multiple degrees from Lewis University, Benedictine University, and Northwestern University.
