Kathia Pilier has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Kathia recently served as the Director of Education at the Committee for Hispanic Children & Families, where they started in May 2022. Prior to that, they were the Assistant Director at the same organization, starting in April 2022. In 2013, they joined CUNY Bronx Community College, where they held multiple roles including CareerPath Program Instructor and CareerPath Student Support Specialist. Kathia also worked as a Life Coach at the college from 2013 to 2022. In 2012, they were a Community Advocate at a community organization, and they briefly held the position of Assistant Manager and CPR Instructor at CPR Will Travel. Kathia started their career as a Pharmacy Technician at CVS Pharmacy in 2000 and worked there until 2012.

Kathia obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Early Childhood Education, completing their studies in 2015. Following this, they enrolled at City University of New York-Herbert H. Lehman College in 2015 and graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology and Education. Continuing their education, Kathia pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Adult Learning at SUNY Empire State College from 2017 to 2020. Currently, they are enrolled at Liberty University, where they are expected to complete their Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Curriculum and Instruction by 2024.
