Jameia Tennie

Jameia Tennie has a diverse work experience spanning from 2012 to the present. Starting in 2012, they worked as an Academic Excellence Coordinator in Housing & Residence Life at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Jameia then transitioned to the role of Assistant Director in Transfer Admissions within the Undergraduate Admissions department. In 2015, they were promoted to Senior Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions, a position they held until 2018. From 2017 to 2018, they also served as the Interim Director of Undergraduate Admissions. In 2018, they became the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, a role that they held until January 2022. Additionally, from November 2021 to January 2022, they temporarily served as the Interim AVP for Enrollment Management at the university. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Student Engagement Programs (Reach Higher) at Common App, starting in February 2022.

Jameia Tennie completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Hampton University, where they attended from 2001 to 2005. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Adult Education (College Leadership & Administration) at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, from 2016 to 2017.
