Will Kort

Will is a long-term member of several consumer cooperatives, and he believes strongly in the cooperative enterprise model. He has worked as a watershed planning consultant in the Milwaukee area and he has a farmstead in Shawano, where he grew up. Will served for ten years on the board of Outpost Natural Foods Cooperative, one of the largest grocery cooperatives in the U.S. There he received education and gained experience in a wide range of cooperative governance matters, including cooperative finances, strategic policy planning, member involvement, monitoring organizational performance, and board-management relations. As board president, Will effectively facilitated consensus decision processes and member communication and helped lead the organization through a period of significant market uncertainty.
