Tahar Bouhafs has worked as a market research executive since 1992, bringing his expertise to CSA Research from various positions, most notably at Forrester Research.
He was a strategic business consultant for Management Ventures (MVI) Worldwide, one of the world’s largest communications services groups, and he also led the growth of exëvo, a market research firm, where he was instrumental in setting up the company’s new business model.
As a managing director at Forrester Research, Tahar led the company’s global expansion from a small, U.S.-centric, privately held boutique firm into a publicly traded market leader with clients in nearly 50 countries. Prior to that executive role, he developed the first international channels at Forrester Research, building strategic alliances and outlets in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. He was the head of planning at SONATRACH and oversaw the GTE/SONELEC Turnkey Electronics venture.
Tahar has an extensive academic background in international business and technology. He holds a master’s degree in computer science from Boston University and a master's degree in management from the Hult International Business School of Management. He attended the ESSEC business school in France and the École Supérieur de Commerce in Algeria. He has served as a faculty member at Boston University, Cambridge College, University of Massachusetts Lowell, and Fitchburg State College.
Based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Tahar is a fluent speaker of Arabic, English, and French.
