Laura Walker is the current advisor at Common Sense Media. Laura has also been an executive fellow at Yale School of Management and a board member at Tribune Media. From 1995 to 2019, they were the president and CEO at New York Public Radio, where they led the nation's #1 public radio station group. During their time at New York Public Radio, Laura oversaw the design and construction of a new 75,000 sq. ft. Manhattan headquarters and performance space. Laura also successfully negotiated the $11.5M acquisition of WQXR FM in a three-way deal with Univision and The New York Times Company. In addition, Laura spearheaded several successful capital campaigns, raising millions from major national foundations including The Ford Foundation, the Knight Foundation, and the Rockefeller Foundation.
Laura Walker has a Master of Business Administration from Yale School of Management and a B.A. in Laura'story from Wesleyan University. Laura graduated magna cum laude from Wesleyan University.
