Mike Saunders has extensive work experience in the digital industry. Mike started their career in 1996 as the Managing Director of Forma, a successful digital agency business. In 2004, they moved to Channel 4 as a Senior Project Manager, developing cross-platform digital products for flagship broadcast shows. In 2005, they joined the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) as a Development Producer, developing and commissioning award-winning digital learning products. In 2007, they became the Director of Digital Media at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. In 2011, they joined ActionAid as a member of their Digital Advisory Board. In 2012, they became the Director of Partners & Logistics at Artfinder. In 2013, they founded Open City Labs and co-founded Commonplace, a digital tool for neighbourhoods and property developers. Mike also became a Governor & Council Member at Trinity College London, where they are a member of the Remuneration Committee and the Trinity College London Enterprises board.
Mike Saunders completed a Master of Arts in Design for Interactive Media at Middlesex University from 1995 to 1996. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics & Philosophy from the University of Southampton between 1988 and 1992.
