Barbara Martin

Barbara Martin, PhD, ACNP-BC, MPH, currently serves as the System Senior Vice President Advanced Practice and System Director Advanced Practice Ambulatory Care Operations at CommonSpirit Health since August 2019. Prior experience includes roles as Executive Director of the Colorado State Innovation Model Office under Governor John Hickenlooper, and Director of the Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative at the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing. Barbara has also held positions as Director of the Health Systems Unit at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and Research Faculty at the University of Colorado Denver. Academic credentials include a PhD in Health Systems Research from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, an MPH from the Colorado School of Public Health, a BA in Political Science from Marquette University, an MSN as a Nurse Practitioner from Rush University, and a BSN in Nursing from the University of Illinois Chicago.
