Steve Benson

Steve Benson has extensive experience in commercial lending and credit risk management, currently serving as the State Manager (WA) for Broker Lending Solutions at Commonwealth Bank since May 2011. In this role, Steve leads the WA and SA teams in processing commercial applications from accredited brokers, overseeing the entire transaction process from application to funding and customer relationship management. Prior to this, Steve held the position of Regional Manager at Bankwest from August 2007 to May 2011, where responsibilities included building credit risk management capabilities and mentoring staff to improve assessment and management skills. Steve's career at Commonwealth Bank began in April 1987, during which time various roles were undertaken. Steve holds a Bachelor of Business in Finance from Edith Cowan University, completed between 1997 and 1999.
