Sonya Overfelt

Sonya Overfelt has extensive experience in healthcare administration, with a career spanning over 25 years. Currently serving as the Assistant Director of Accounts Receivable at Commonwealth Care of Roanoke since October 2008, Sonya oversees a team of four Intake/ADR Financial Coordinators and works closely with the Billing Manager to address and enhance billing processes. Prior roles at Commonwealth Care include Development & Integration Manager and Collections Manager, where responsibilities included developing a centralized Intake Department for multiple skilled nursing facilities and managing electronic claim submissions. Earlier, Sonya worked as an Office Manager for physician practices and as an Accounting Clerk, where skills in coding, insurance claims, and patient interaction were honed. Educational background includes attendance at Liberty University following graduation from Patrick Henry High School.
