Samuel Okrina

Samuel Okrina has a diverse work experience in various roles, starting in 2007 and continuing until the present. Samuel began their career at Best Buy, where they worked as a Geek Squad member, providing sales, diagnosis, repair, and support for computer hardware and software issues. Samuel then transitioned to Omaha Public Schools, where they served as a Teacher of Social Studies, assuming leadership responsibilities and creating organizations and courses. After that, they joined Drake Materials as an IT Support Specialist, where they provided technical assistance, support, and networking management. Following this, they worked at Shutterfly Inc. as a Senior IT Support Administrator, primarily focusing on CentOS/RHEL Linux and Windows Server administration, backup management, and troubleshooting. Their current position, which they started in 2020, is as a System Engineer at Commonwealth Electric Company of the Midwest.

Samuel Okrina attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha from 2003 to 2009, where they pursued a degree in Secondary Education with a focus on Social Studies. During their time there, they also completed minors in History and Psychology. In May 2017, they obtained their CompTIA A+ certification from CompTIA. In October 2018, Samuel earned their CompTIA Linux+ certification, followed by their CompTIA Network+ certification in May 2017.
