Commonwealth Fusion Systems
Jesse Batko is a seasoned mechanical engineer with significant experience in advanced engineering roles in the fusion and particle physics sectors. Currently serving as Principal Mechanical Engineer and Deputy Technical Lead for Ports and Vacuum Vessel systems at Commonwealth Fusion Systems since August 2020, Jesse previously held various engineering roles at Fermilab, where responsibilities included leading the mechanical engineering team for Booster and Linear Accelerator systems. Jesse co-founded the Akronauts Rocket Design Team and has completed internships at ZIN Technologies, where validation of on-orbit experiments for the International Space Station was a key project, and at Blair Rubber Company, contributing to plant layout designs. A mechanical engineering graduate from The University of Akron, Jesse has a solid foundation in both theoretical and applied engineering principles.
