Linda Sarno

Linda Sarno is currently the Controller at Commonwealth Hotels. Linda has over thirty years of experience in accounting and financial management, including seventeen years in executive-level positions.

Linda began their career as an Audit Associate at Milligan, Muller, Chambellan and Berger, CPAs. Linda then spent ten years as Manager of Divisional Accounting at Federated Department Stores, Inc. before moving to Macy's, where they spent twenty-one years as Vice President of Accounting Services.

At Macy's, Linda led a team of sixty financial professionals in the day-to-day operations and execution of accounting and financial functions. Linda established policies and procedures related to areas of responsibility in alignment with company strategy and objectives. Linda also oversaw contract administration, cash management, equity and performance award programs, sales audit, tenant accounting, balance sheet reconciliations and analysis, revenue and expense planning and forecasting. In addition, they implemented a counterfeit detection program and collaborated in the development of a cash over short tracking system. Linda also optimized workflow and automation for customer adjustments. Linda led project teams to centralize Cash Services, Sales Audit and Returned Check departments. Lastly, they supported seamless transitions for company restructures and system conversions.

Linda's experience and expertise have made their a valuable asset to Commonwealth Hotels.

Linda Sarno has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from Adelphi University.
