Aneesh Sahni

Aneesh Sahni currently serves as the Director of Intergovernmental Affairs for the City of Somerville under Mayor Katjana Ballantyne, a position held since January 2022. In addition, Aneesh is a Board Member at Action for Boston Community Development, Inc. since November 2021. Prior experience includes serving as Legislative Director for Senator Brendan Crighton in the Massachusetts State Senate from October 2019 to January 2022, and working as a Federal Programs Specialist at the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education from July 2018 to October 2019. Aneesh also held the position of Policy Fellow at the Massachusetts Executive Office of Education and the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Education and the Workforce. Earlier career roles involved teaching at Achievement First East New York Middle School and participation in Teach For America. Aneesh holds a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education.
