Coleen Elstermeyer

Coleen Elstermeyer serves as the Deputy Executive Director at the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Health Policy Commission since January 2013, previously holding the positions of Chief of Staff and Director of External Affairs, where responsibilities included overseeing staff, management, internal operations, and external affairs while providing leadership on health policy and strategy. Prior experience includes serving as Chief of Staff for Majority Leader Ronald Mariano in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, managing staff and legislative agendas, with a focus on major health care reform legislation. Coleen's early career includes roles as a Nuclear Proliferation Intern at Jane's Information Group, an Account Executive at Liberty Square Group specializing in political communications, and an intern in the office of U.S. Senator Edward M. Kennedy. Coleen holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from King's College London and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Boston College.
