Spencer Gurley-Green

Spencer Gurley-Green is an accomplished finance and policy professional currently serving as Chief Financial Officer at the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development since July 2020, previously holding the roles of Budget Director and Fiscal Policy Analyst within the same agency. Spencer has extensive experience in government settings, including assignments with various departments such as MassHealth and the Department of Public Health. Prior roles include a Summer Fellowship with the City of Revere's Office of Innovation and Data Management, and as a Policy and Data Analyst at Community Resources For Justice. Spencer's early career features research and analysis positions at CGR, Rochester Youth Year, and involvement in civil liberties initiatives and community organizing. Educated at Harvard Kennedy School with a Master’s of Public Policy and holding a dual Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience and Music from the University of Rochester.
