Khaled Abou-Shady

Khaled Abou-Shady has held various positions throughout their career. Khaled is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Communications Solutions Company since January 2021. Before that, they worked at UNDP as a Management Consultant from December 2009 to January 2021, where they provided consultations and program leadership support in strategic management, strategy development, business planning, change/transformation management, and engagement practices. At UNDP, they were involved in projects such as restructuring the Ministry of Defense in Kuwait, developing a foreign labor management system for the government of Armenia, and creating a partnership framework and strategy for the Public Authority of the Disabled in Kuwait.

Prior to their role at UNDP, Khaled was the Co-Founder & General Manager at Meeza Technical Solutions from April 2009 to September 2016. Khaled also served as the Chief Executive Officer at Baraka Telecom SDN BHD, a mobile virtual network enabler and operator, from May 2008 to December 2009. Additionally, Khaled worked as the Chief Strategy & Operations Officer at Mobilink Telecom Group from September 2007 to December 2009.

At the beginning of their career, Khaled worked at EQUATE Petrochemical Company as a Business Process & Change Manager from February 1997 to July 2007.

Khaled Abou-Shady holds a BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering & Electronics from The American University in Cairo, which they obtained from 1990 to 1996. Khaled pursued postgraduate studies at the Project Management Institute (PMI) from 2002 to 2003, earning a Project Management Professional (PMP) degree. In 2005, they enrolled at the Maastricht School of Management, where they completed an MBA in General & Strategic Management from 2005 to 2007. Additionally, Khaled Abou-Shady attended Harvard Business School in 2006 for an Executive Education Certificate in Technology & Operations Management.
