Akilah Hunte is a data-driven professional with extensive experience in educational program management and data strategies. Currently serving as the Director of Data Strategies at Communities In Schools of North Carolina since August 2016, Akilah oversees data entry and analysis from over 150 employees and 9,000 students while ensuring high satisfaction rates in support provided. Prior to this role, Akilah managed various school-based programs as the Program Director for the Rocky Mount Region and served as a Program Manager at City Year Miami, overseeing AmeriCorps members and analyzing academic data for middle school students. Akilah also has a strong foundation in employment services through previous roles with Pathways to Home and AmeriCorps. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Public Administration from Texas Southern University, a Bachelor of Arts in History from Florida International University, and a Certificate in Data Analytics and Visualizations from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
