Sara Shanley

Sara Shanley is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in youth development, program management, and anti-racism initiatives. Currently serving as the Senior Program Manager at Communities In Schools National Office since May 2023, Sara also contributes to Crossroads Antiracism Organizing & Training as a Leadership Team Member, facilitating workshops on anti-racism. Previous roles include Partnership Growth Manager at AUSL and Director of Innovative Partnerships and Equity at Urban Initiatives, where Sara designed and implemented social-emotional learning programs and led the launch of an Antiracist and Antioppressive Committee. With a strong foundation in sports and education, Sara has worked on gender equity initiatives internationally and held various leadership positions in youth programs throughout the U.S. Sara holds degrees from Northwestern University, American University, and Virginia Commonwealth University, specializing in organizational management and international relations.
