Gregory C. Scott, MS has extensive experience as a leader and executive in the non-profit sector. Gregory C. served as the President & CEO of the Community Action Partnership of Orange County, overseeing all operations and strategic direction in the fight against poverty. Gregory C. also held leadership positions as the President & CEO of New Directions for Veterans and the Weingart Center for the Homeless. In addition, Gregory founded The Scott Impact Group, LLC, where they provided executive coaching and leadership development services. Gregory C. is also an official member of the Forbes Nonprofit Council.
Gregory C. Scott, MS obtained their Bachelor's degree in Sociology from William Paterson University of New Jersey in 1993. Gregory C. then went on to complete their Master's degree in Community Economic Development from Southern New Hampshire University in 1999. In 2013, Gregory attended the Executive Nonprofit Leadership Program at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
In terms of certifications, Gregory has obtained several throughout their career. In 2008, they completed the Executive Director's Leadership Institute offered by Wells Fargo. In 2009, they obtained the Annenberg Alchemy certification from the Annenberg Foundation. In 2014, Gregory completed the Board of Directors Training program provided by The African American Board Leadership Institute. In 2018, they received the Urban League Chief Executive Officer Certification from the National Urban League. In 2020, Gregory became a John Maxwell Certified Coach through The John Maxwell Team. Lastly, in 2022 they obtained the Certified Community Action Professional (CCAP) certification from the Community Action Partnership - National Office. Gregory C. also currently holds the CCAP 2022 to 2026 certification from the National Community Action Partnership, which they acquired in 2023.
