Gary R. Shook

Gary Shook is an experienced banking executive currently serving as President and CEO of Community Bankers' Bank since July 2020. Previously, Gary held leadership positions including Chairman of the ABA / Voter Education Fund and President, Director, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Banking Officer at Blue Ridge Bank, N.A. Gary's career also includes tenure as Chairman and CEO of Access National Bank Wealth Services, and President and CEO of Middleburg Bank, where Gary also served as Chairman of Middleburg Trust Company and Middleburg Investment Group. Gary was Chairman of the Virginia Bankers Association and held a corporate director role at Southern Trust Mortgage, with early experience as Senior Vice President at The Fauquier Bank. An alumnus of the University of Virginia, Gary holds a BA in History and Economics and completed a program at the Center for Creative Leadership in 2006.
