Richard G. Gary MA, MBA

Richard G. Gary has a diverse work experience spanning from 2003 to 2019. Richard G. currently serves as the Executive Director at Community Based Care, where they are responsible for change management, skills development, and financial management. Prior to this role, they worked as a Leadership Development Consultant at RGGARY from 2018 to 2022. Richard G. also served as the Executive Director at Allied Churches of Alamance County from 2017 to 2018, overseeing emergency housing shelter and program services for a five-county consortium.

Before that, Richard worked as the Director of Operations at ResCare from 2015 to 2017, where they impacted communities by providing health and human services. From 2009 to 2015, they were the Director of Intellectual Disabilities Services at Danville Pittsylvania Community Services, where they oversaw multiple Medicaid-funded service programs targeting individuals with intellectual disabilities and behavioral health needs.

From 2003 to 2008, they worked as the Residential Director at Orange Grove Center, where they achieved low staff turnover and improved service delivery in supervised residential homes.

Richard G. Gary MA, MBA has a strong education background in various fields. Starting in 2004, they attended The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education in 2007. In 2012, they pursued further education at Liberty University and earned a Master of Arts degree in Human Services Counseling/Business in 2013. Around the same time, they also attended Duke University for a Certificate of Nonprofit Management with a focus on Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management. Following this, Richard continued their education at Liberty University and completed a Master of Business Administration degree in Organizational Leadership in 2015. In addition to their formal degrees, they hold a certificate in Fundraising from the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
