Joseph Macau

Joseph Macau is currently a board member at 4C. Prior to that, they worked as a procurement agent for Boeing from September 2019 to July 2021. In this role, they were responsible for aircraft general spares, sub-category lead for hazardous materials and raw materials, focal for urgent materials, and project lead for CI projects. Joseph also negotiated prices and terms and conditions, and oversaw lineside implementation.

From July 2017 to August 2018, Joseph worked as a commercial purchasing intern for Worcester Bosch. In this role, they assisted buyers and purchasing engineers with national and international projects, and was responsible for new product introduction of externally procured parts and introduction of updated current production parts in accordance with Bosch procedures and the engineering change process. Joseph also awarded the business in line with project strategy and timeline, liaised with multiple stakeholders to ensure drawings, specifications and BOMs are accurate and feasible during the sourcing process, changed suppliers through benchmarking activities and introduction of new suppliers, raised part approval documentation and coordinated with the quality department on initial sample inspection reports, organised plant to plant transfer schedules and production schedules, created concessions, asset disposals and CAPEX, generated purchase orders, requisitions, RFQs and NDAs, and utilised SAP, WorkOn, SRM, Skype for Business and Microsoft Office packages.

Joseph Macau has a Master's of Public Administration from University of York, a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a Year in Industry from Swansea University, A and AS Levels in Joseph'story, Geography, Biology and Chemistry from Reigate Sixth Form College. Joseph Macau is also certified in HSK Chinese Proficiency Test Level 2 from Goldsmiths, University of London and has a UK Full Driving Licence from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).
