Latanya Jones

Health Specialist at 4C

Latanya Jones has worked in the health and social services field since 2012. In that time, they have held a variety of roles with different organizations. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Healthy Start Human Service Counselor II with the Florida Department of Health in Orange County. In 2013, they held a Community Health Educator role with the Healthy Start Coalition of Orange County. In 2014, they held a role as an EPSDT Care Connector with Prestige Health Choice and a Community Education Coordinator with Planned Parenthood of Greater Orlando, Inc. Since 2016, they have been a Health Specialist with Community Coordinated Care for Children, Inc. (4C). In this role, they have overseen and managed a case load of daycare sites, ensuring that sites maintained up to date and current health information for the program participants. Latanya has also performed quarterly Health and Safety Monitoring to ensure that sites are compliant with the health and safety performance standards set by the Office of Head Start and Department of Children and Families. Additionally, they have coordinated and facilitated multidisciplinary team meetings and served as the central point of contact for service providers, worked with both internal and external agency personnel to meet the needs of the children, completed Medical Authorizations and individual health plans, and participated in the agency’s needs assessment.

Latanya Jones obtained their Masters of Public Health from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University between 2002 and 2006, with a field of study in Public Health. Latanya also obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from Florida State University between 1997 and 2001, with a field of study in Psychology. Additionally, Latanya holds a certification in CHES.
