Spencer Bailey

Spencer Bailey is a dedicated legal professional with extensive experience in housing law and appellate advocacy. Currently serving as Senior Attorney & Appellate Supervisor at the Community Economic Defense Project since October 2022, Spencer previously held positions as a Housing Attorney at the Colorado Poverty Law Project and as a Law Clerk for the U.S. District Courts. Spencer's legal career includes roles at Colorado Legal Services and a variety of internships, showcasing expertise in eviction defense and appellate law. In addition to legal work, Spencer has a background in community engagement and service, having served as a Global Citizenship Fellow at UNICEF USA and an AmeriCorps Member with City Year. Spencer obtained a J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law and has a solid educational foundation from Lipscomb University and East Tennessee State University.
