Sheila Garcia

Sheila Garcia is an experienced community organizer and leader with over a decade of dedicated service in various roles at New Settlement, where Sheila currently serves as the Director of Organizing, and at CASA, where Sheila held multiple positions including Director, Deputy Director, Lead Organizer, and Community Organizer. Additionally, Sheila was appointed by Mayor De Blasio as a Tenant Representative on the Rent Guidelines Board from March 2014 to March 2023, advocating for the rights of Rent Stabilized tenants. Sheila's educational background includes attendance at Alfred University from 2004 to 2007 and Laguardia Community College from 2008 to 2009.
