Dave Horst

Dave Horst is an accomplished Environmental Grants Manager at the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region in Appleton, WI, where responsibilities include developing and overseeing the Environmental Stewardship Fund and collaborating with environmentally focused donors and nonprofit grant applications since February 2003. Additionally, Dave serves as a Freelance Nature Columnist for The Post-Crescent, contributing insights on nature and environmental topics. Prior experience includes roles as City Editor, Online Editor, and Reporter at The Post-Crescent from 1984 to 2003, as well as City Hall Reporter at The Lawrence Journal World from 1982 to 1984. Dave holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications & Urban Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, earned between 1975 and 1979.
