Dave Nicklin has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Dave started their career as a Procurement Assistant at Monteray in 2004 and later worked as a Writer at SLEEPYDOG LIMITED from 2007 to 2009. In 2010, they joined the Ministry of Justice UK as a Lease Fleet Manager until 2015. Following that, Dave worked at LOROS Hospice as a Fundraising Coordinator from 2015 to 2018, where they organized and marketed fundraising events and campaigns. Currently, they are employed by The National Lottery Community Fund. Dave initially served as a Funding Officer for Leicestershire from 2018 to 2021, providing feedback, advice, and assessment reports for funding applications. Dave then transitioned to the role of Funding Manager for Leicestershire and Northamptonshire, overseeing the delivery of The Fund's Reaching Communities programme, managing a team of Funding Officers, and making decisions on Lottery funding investments in the region. Dave's work experiences have honed their skills in people management, communication, relationship building, budget management, and creative thinking.
Dave Nicklin obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies from Staffordshire University, where they studied from 2001 to 2004. In 2019, they pursued further education and completed the ILM Level 3 Certificate in Leadership & Management at ICS Learn, devoting a year to this program before finishing in 2020.
