Nichola Blackmore has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Nichola began their career as an Assistant Curator at Bridport Museum Trust in 2015 and worked there until 2017. Following this, they joined the University of Exeter as a Recruitment Assistant for a brief period. In 2017, they transitioned to South West Heritage Trust where they worked as a Devon Remembers Heritage Project Assistant until 2018. During their tenure at Living Options Devon, from 2018 to 2022, they held two positions - Engagement Officer and Heritage Ability Project Officer. In 2020, they joined The National Lottery Community Fund as a Funding Officer for the 2027 Programme, and later assumed the role of Portfolio Officer in 2021. Additionally, they are currently involved with BBC Children in Need as part of the South West Committee.

Nichola Blackmore's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with honors in History from the University of Leeds, which they obtained from 2005 to 2008. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree with Distinction in Museum Studies at the University of Leicester from 2008 to 2009.
