Catherine Trossello has extensive work experience in the healthcare field. Catherine began their career in 2008 as an RN at BrightStar Healthcare, where they provided nursing care and formed care plans for adult and pediatric patients. In 2010, they joined The Kenkou Group as a Family Nurse Practitioner, specializing in home care and primary care for various age groups. During their time at URBAN HEALTH PLAN, INC, from 2010 to 2017, Catherine served as a Family Nurse Practitioner, taking on progressive responsibilities such as shaping the role of Advanced Practice Nurses and developing a low-risk OB clinic. In 2017, they joined the Callen-Lorde Community Health Center as the Director of the Keith Haring Nurse Practitioner Postgraduate Fellowship in LGBTQ+ Health, and also became an Adjunct Professor at New York University Rory Meyers College of Nursing.

Catherine Trossello completed their education with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from New York University in 2017. Prior to that, they earned an MS degree in Science of Nursing, specializing in Family Nurse Practitioner, from Columbia University School of Nursing between 2008 and 2010. Catherine also obtained a BS degree in Science of Nursing from the same institution in 2008. Catherine started their academic journey at Rutgers University, where they received a BA degree in Spanish Language and Literature with a minor in Biology from 2001 to 2006.
