Janet Camarena

Janet Camarena is an accomplished professional in the nonprofit sector, currently serving as the Director of Partnerships at Candid, a position held since July 1995. Janet has also held various roles at Candid, including Senior Director of Learning Experience and Director of Candid Learning. In addition to their work at Candid, Janet is an active Board Member for PEAK Grantmaking and Community Initiatives, and previously served on the Board of Grants Managers Network until July 2023. Janet's extensive experience includes a significant tenure at Foundation Center, where Janet championed transparency initiatives and led the San Francisco office. Educational qualifications include a BA in English & Communications from Mills College and an MLS in Library Science from San Jose State University.
