Bharat Desai

Bharat Desai serves as an Investment Analyst on the Risk and Analytics team. Prior to joining CIM, Mr. Desai was a senior data scientist at Nikel, a leading embedded finance technology player in South East Asia providing end-to-end solutions for banks and technology companies to lend to their customers in underserved sectors like small businesses, healthcare, agriculture, and sustainability. He was focused on investment due diligence on Fintech credit investments, and led portfolio monitoring and management efforts on existing investments. Before starting his career in financial services, he conducted quantitative research in machine learning and optimization applications for cyber-physical systems at the NUS-Singtel Research and Development Laboratory.

Mr. Desai holds a B.Eng in Systems Engineering from Singapore University of Technology and Design.
