Janis Mercer

Janis Mercer is a piano and composition faculty at the San Francisco Community Music Center since February 1992. Prior to that, Janis has been teaching piano and composition in their private studio since January 1988. Janis holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Theory and Composition from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a Master's degree in the same field from Mills College. Additionally, Janis has obtained a certificate in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language/ESL Language Instructor from the University of California Berkeley Extension.
