Justin Jamail

Justin Jamail has a long history of working in various legal positions with different companies. Justin started their career as an Associate at Morrison & Foerster LLP in October 2009 and worked there until May 2015. During their time there, they specialized in structuring and managing significant cross-border corporate transactions. Some of the notable transactions they were a part of include SoftBank's investment in Alibaba Group Holding, including the IPO of Alibaba and restructuring of Alipay/Ant Financial, the acquisition of Sprint and Clearwire by SoftBank, and various SoftBank investments in media and technology companies. In 2015, Justin left Morrison & Foerster to work as the Deputy General Counsel at the Metropolitan Opera from June 2015 to December 2018. Most recently, Justin is a Board Member at Community of Literary Magazines and Presses and a Member Board of Directors at CLMP.

The educational career for Justin Jamail began with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in American Studies from Columbia University. Justin then attended Fordham University School of Law for their Doctor of Law (J.D.) and also studied abroad at Waseda University. After law school, they became a University Fellow in Creative Writing at University of Massachusetts Amherst and also taught at Columbia University.
