Ellie Sander

Ellie Sander is an accomplished undergraduate with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Spanish and Urban Studies and Planning from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, expected to graduate in May 2024. Currently serving as a Housing Development Intern at Community Partners for Affordable Housing since May 2024, Ellie has gained diverse experience across various roles. Previous positions include Research Assistant in the Food Equity and Dignity Lab, Park Planning Intern at Mt. Prospect Park District, and Civic Leaders Fellow at the HANA Center. Ellie has also contributed as a staff member at Santouka Ramen and Jipbap Taste of Korea, and gained early volunteer experience at the Garfield Park Community Council and the Forest Preserve District of Cook County. Notable skills developed throughout these experiences include data analysis, park management, and media collaboration to support immigrant communities.
